When you start a company, especially a creative one, you have dreams, you have a mission. I look forward to sharing more about the good that we do here at 826LA!ĥ️⃣ HAPPY 5-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO Gamefam and to my incredible, amazing, brilliant teammates all over the world who have made this dream a reality ✨ If you would like to learn more about our organization or how you can support us, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly. I will be reaching out to many of you to discuss how you can support this organization that is so interwoven into the fabric of our city and that is helping build tomorrow's diverse creative leadership of our industry. I continued that volunteer work at the San Francisco chapter and then here in Los Angeles.Īs CEO at Gamefam, I felt I could further support 826LA as a board member, focused on enhancing our brand and fundraising for our programs. When I was looking for a volunteer activity while completing my MBA at the University of Michigan, I came across 826 and served as a volunteer tutor for middle and high school students. Here in Los Angeles, the world center of creativity, it's so important to support our student population in building their writing and artistic skills - and even more so to support those who were not born with great privilege, many of whom were, like my wife and father, born to immigrant parents. In that spirit, I'm so incredibly excited to announce that I have joined the board at 826LA - one of the most amazing non-profit organizations in the world, led by the amazing Jaime Balboa and Susan Ko, PhDįounded by renowned author Dave Eggers, 826LA is dedicated to unlocking and cultivating the creative power of writing and creativity for students ages 6 to 18. Life isn't all business - life is also about giving back purely for the benefit of making the world a better place.
